YK Pao believed that education is a powerful lever to change individuals, societies and communities.

In establishing the YK Pao Education Foundation, we aim to continue YK Pao’s legacy of educational philanthropy, based on his beliefs in connecting China to the world through education and ensuring that values and skills development play a key role in education.   

With the launch of YK Pao School in 2007, we introduced a new model of Primary and Secondary education, offering the Chinese curriculum delivered with an international perspective and with a focus on character education. The opportunities of YK Pao School are now open to a broader audience through the idea of “Pao Beyond” in our Extension Programmes and we are also seeking to impact a new generation of teachers through the Pao Centre for Teaching and Learning.

We face a rapidly changing environment with the advent of new modes of learning and working driven by new technologies and changing social structures. Within this dynamic environment, the YK Pao Education Foundation seeks to explore new approaches while also retaining the human soul that is at the heart of education, and celebrating cultural traditions and legacy.
