The YK Pao Education Foundation is committed to educating innovative and responsible young people for tomorrow’s China and tomorrow’s world.

The Foundation continues the philanthropic legacy started by its namesake, Yue-Kong Pao, the renowned twentieth century shipowner and philanthropist.

During his lifetime, YK Pao made pioneering and transformative gifts in support of education in mainland China and Hong Kong, including the establishment of Ningbo University, founding the Sino-British Friendship Scholarship Scheme, building libraries at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and launching scholarship and international faculty exchange programmes at Zhejiang University, the University of Hong Kong, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
